She was also a fashion and style icon, and an idol for women who wanted what she had, the fairy tale life of a princess. And then when the dirty laundry became public, she became an icon of the strong independent women standing up to the powerful and privileged. And then her tragic death at such a young age, and the speculation it was ordered by someone at the palace.
