Families/doctors of these people should be able to contact sites like twitter/youtube/whatever and have them banned. Using social media is absolutely dangerous for mentally ill people when they reach a certain level of public awareness. I saw it happen to my bipolar roommate a decade ago. At the time I thought I was being supportive when she showed off how proud she was of her online fanbase, but it was really messing with her ability to function socially. and no matter how hard her parents tried to help, she devoted all her attention to her online community instead. How much can anonymous strangers on the internet be trusted with an unstable person's mental health??? Not at all. All it takes is one troll to unhinge a mentally ill person because they want to see a show. Chris chan has had swathes of provocateurs for over 2 decades now. In an alternate timeline, Chris chan got the help they needed and was able to live a satisfying life without hurting anybody --- Talking about video games? it's ok to just disagree with each other on the internet.
