They still aren't going to think that you or your wife are actual human beings worthy of the same rights as other people.
To the original question of the topic? No. The party line post coup attempt is either that it was not as bad as it's being portrayed (it's actually worse in reality) or that it was justified. So either Fascist or Fascist adjacent. The party has been pandering to this group since Nixon. It's just grown beyond their control now.
