his followed and pundits: lol it was always X, dumbass libs

no one can in good faith react like that. They obviously act in bad faith. This is why they could see the carnage from 1/6 in video everywhere and then insist it was peaceful and full of love just a few weeks later despite the fact they say it with their own eyes

It wasn't quite that bad until after 2012, when the GOP started to openly embrace the concept of misinformation-spreading on social media. I think the key turning point was Sean Hannity openly promoting the Seth Rich conspiracy theory. At that point, it was clear that Hannity was going to be a gateway drug into that sort of thinking.
