By the logic you're employing, good goddamn near everything on earth is "deadly" because almost anything could, in the right rare circumstances, kill you.

Like if that's how you want to see it, more power to you, but most people prefer descriptors to be useful and informative, with few implied asterisks
also gonna disagree with ya honk, the flu is deadly. there's still so much anti-flu vax propaganda out there, even though it's mild. the more people that get the flu vax, the more lives can be saved. it's like not calling chicken pox deadly, even though it's less deadly than covid. it's deadly.
