I never beat the final boss in the co-op mode, and that mode is so damn cool. But it could be pretty hard to find people on the Xbox in that mode :( That is another perfect video game. E: From what I'm seeing, Tetris Effect apparently does have crossplay, but it's only in Friend matches for now and not with randos? Huh.
