2010s was an amazing decade

All these genres were created or either had a peak in development:
Future bass, edm trap, kawaii bass, future funk, vaporwave, hyperpop, neoperreo, moombahton, jungle terror, brostep, deconstructed club, hard drum, riddim, halftime, emo rap, trap metal, mallsoft, utopian virtual, digital fusion, colour bass, alt-pop, bedroom pop, phonk, tread, and freeform bass. I didn't even state half.

Older genres had amazing releases by artists like trash metal (Vektor), rock n roll (JD McPherson), soul (Mayer Haethorne), dirty south/hip-hop (Big Boi), and I could just go on and on

Video game soundtracks arguably reached an on going peak. Nintendo put all efforts into music like Super Mario Galaxy 2, 3D World, Mario Odyssey, Skyward Sword, Xenoblade Chronicles, DK Tropical Freeze, Splatoon, Mario Kart 8, Kirby's Epic Yarn, etc.. You can love Sega or not, but they always make top notch soundtracks. Rockstar's Red Dead games had top notch neo-spaghetti western soundtracks and finally did full composed soundtrack for GTAV outside of licensed music. Indie games were the shining light. Undertale and Shovel Knight are prime examples of using classic video game music styles of the 90s and masterfully bringing them to modern times.
