I wouldn't say that. Controllers are terrible for any build that relies on ground targeting for positioning, like Leapquake or Raiment. The auto-aim is fine for abilities that target enemies (though it makes it pretty mindless to not even have to pay enough attention to click on them), but with Raiment, you're stuck zipping halfway across the map with every Dash Strike and having to reposition manually to keep attacking, and Leapquake is very much a "Jesus take the wheel" build in that you have to hope auto-aim doesn't throw you somewhere you don't want.

Objectively, M+KB allows for more precise aiming. How much that matters varies by build, but it's nonetheless true.

not once have i ever had an issue with targeting what i want to target

as it turns out, they thought about that and let you target things manually if you want
