That's true. Sometimes animals just be animals -- this is the consequences you need to accept when working with wild animals. We aren't meant to have them in captivity or as pets so these things are bound to happen.
You'd be surprised how many people cows kill, but how little people are killed by sharks or other animals left to their own devices in the wild. But even then, accidents occur. Steve Irwin got killed by a stingray but he would have never wanted us to blame the stingray.
Humans forget that we are a part of nature. Sometimes that means getting killed by other animals. It's terrible, and we can segregate ourselves as much as we want, but it's inevitable.
Still, a lot less fatalities would occur if people knew how to behave around animals or even how to avoid getting into such situations. I'm not saying that'd stop it from happening altogether, but it would do us good to show more respect for wildlife so that it shows more respect for us. Then we just hope for the best.
Absolutely. I feel I'm good @ communicating with animals - probably not on the level of brave that people are that have befriended wolves or hyenas (I love this videos), but I'm very confident with cats, dogs, birds, rodents + farm animals.
