Black people get far more punitive responses in general, however, on a individual level, it is far too complicated case by case. That black lady getting years of prison for 32 dollars of weed most likely had a legal history (a history largely created by social injustice to begin with)

The problem (for me at least) is if I'm trying to convince/ illustrate this to someone, saying "broad patterns" often isn't as effective as "X happens more to Y" or a specific example that *is* relatively comparable
