I've been calling it the Richard Spencer Effect. Before he was punched, Richard Spencer was a nobody that most people hadn't heard of. Afterwards, he was a big name and was given fame and the chance to spread his abhorrent views even wider. Sure it feels good to punch someone like that, but would you have heard about this guy if he had never been hit? Now he has a national platform for his views. Punching him literally handed him a platform that he can use to spread his views. Dude, you dont understand. These people do not live in reality. They arent bound by our rules and logic because they create their own. Sure, your core argument in that added publicity could be bad for her side for people that are on the fence, but for people that are already on his side, they dont care. They create their own narratives to make their own reality. I dont know why you consistently want to try and treat everyone like they live in the same world when they clearly do not. Im fucking tired of this site also acting like their opinion deserves equal airtime.
