There's celiac disease (not an allergy) and wheat allergy (an allergy, but to non-gluten proteins). And because 1) if he doesn't have a diagnosed reason to avoid gluten, he has no need to be doing so, and 2) I was fairly sure he didn't actually have a gluten free bread, no one opts for gluten free bread on purpose because it's shit People who ask for gluten free items but aren't strictly gluten free cause restaurants/servers to believe gluten free requests don't need to be taken seriously. --- Take me for what I am -- who I was meant to be.
