If somebody's got trust issues to that extent, though, I wouldn't put it past them to not trust that you're as gay as you say you are. In that case, though, they'd probably just full-on demand that you never meet any friends alone. Maybe... Though I don't really see as many people not trusting how gay their partner is. Haha...
