| Xethuminra 09/30/21 9:29:41 PM #35: | Eh..... Lets see what they do. Doc Ock needs to not be fighting so much, or see a serious redesign. For example: Ultimate Octopus. They didnt have to change the narrative even, just giving him a more muscular physique was enough to fix the character at the time & make him seem realistic. We just assumed he was mutated or otherwise somehow unusually strong, or powered by nanomachines from the arms. original Ock is just some regular guy getting swung every which way by a machine around his waist, and it just doesnt make sense. At the end of the day, with the speeds & Gs & impacts required to melee with Spiderman, it would have to either be a very quick fight or Doc Ock would require a suit or something to protect him,........ Hes Supermans face levels of ridiculous. Great villain but I need more than Alfred Molina to suspend my disbelief. All they have to do is depict Spiderman punching him in the face (with the Octopus unphased), and give Doc some explanatory one-liner to explain his strength, and it would be fine. You could even kill two birds & end this on a beat with Spiderman quipping that he Did pull the punch, to be fair ... Copied to Clipboard! |
