Since its a college dorm, they could probably do some really cool themed parties in a hallway like that. While we didnt have themed parties, reminds me of the dorms during tech school, and the dorms of my current base. Im tech school, people would just leave their dorm room doors open during the evenings and weekends while inside, and everyone would just walk around going to different rooms and hanging out. Some people were watching movies or playing video games (though if you lucky, you might get to use the big screen in the Eagles Nest) And we did sort of the same thing at the dorms here, though not as many people had their doors open Fun times Ninja4820 posted... It's weird the same way the idea of having a firefighter pole inside a house would be weird. Like, yeah, that's objectively not normal, but fuck yeah would I like one.
