I don't know where you and everyone else that cites that "99.7%" figure are getting it from, but that source really needs to check their math. The vaccines (no quotes needed; they are vaccines, and I'm not sure where this push to pretend they aren't is coming from) do offer considerable protection, though, and their benefits far outweigh the side effects.
