Nebraska had two nuclear power plants, Fort Calhoun Station, which was shut down in 2016, and the still operational Cooper Nuclear Station near Brownville. Cooper is a GE BWR-4 Mk. I with an 800 MWe capacity.

Before it was shut down Fort Calhoun was the smallest operational commercial nuclear power plant in the US, with a single Combustion Engineering PWR generating 484 MWe
