Only if you want to start things off with them being overly worried about your mental well being

Start slow, build up confidence and work on building trust so that you can be open and honest with your therapist.

If you have real issues worth talking about, alarming them about what's going on all up front is going to be a lot for them to sort through and can make you feel vulnerable later on (after the session) rather than before it when you just want to get everything off your chest.

Thanks for the serious advice. I was only half joking about acting as insane as possible. I'll try not to drop too much on the first session. I'm hoping it will just be some q and a, short and sweet. I don't expect to break ground too quickly.
