For a lot of us, it isn't about the sex entirely. It's about being wanted. Prostitution doesn't fix any of the underlying issues, or make them more worth dating(likely the opposite actually).

It'd be no different than paying someone to pretend to be your friend when you're lonely. It's not real, it fixes nothing, and would likely just make you feel worse after.

The difficulty of getting someone to like you enough that they want to have sex with you is going to vary considerably from person to person, for a multitude of reasons. But if you've reached the point of becoming sexually frustrated, then it may be time to expand your horizon because having sex is a healthy part of the human experience and it doesn't necessarily have to involve affection. You can treat yourself to the experience of sex while still making efforts to increase your chances of being wanted, eventually getting laid the "natural" way. Why make it an uphill battle for yourself by demanding both simultaneously, if the odds are already stacked against you?
