that user is not innocent in this and has himself had several warnings during that initial event and more recently in regard to it. It is good that they have a mutual block and can't contact each other anymore. I also have a mutual block with that user. I don't see anything insincere or problematic with cyric's apology. I don't agree that his use of the term "goaded" was in any way inaccurate and this actually is even more evidence against Dez and the rest of the peanut gallery there. It does not excuse or justify the statement at all, but it would be senseless to think he didn't give that user exactly what he wanted. Shame on cyric for saying that, but he clearly already knows that and has acknowledged it. The goading comment is not victim blaming though. The user in question tried to goad me a week or so ago in a conversation about that topic as well and he ended having a meltdown and getting warned and then blocking me (and when gunpla was suspended, that user was also warned for legit transphobic comments and none of the people attacking gunpla acknowledged it. Something to the effect of "I don't care. I will call gunpla 'he' because 'he' doesn't deserve my respect after that" was said). He did provide more backstory that I had been missing, which I must admit has me questioning gunpla's initial intentions more now that I know about it. Still, considering the transphobic comments, how is anyone going to condemn one bad statement and dismiss the other? Cyric said something out of line because he got emotional. The other user had said something out of line because he got emotional. Cyric apologized. Back when the other user said what he said, he did not. Cyric post-apology is still getting more backlash.
