| Toxtricity 10/27/21 5:59:12 PM #198: | man listening through all these sakimoto soundtracks in search of a song i remember that possibly does not exist has made me shift to an alignment where i think sakimoto's actually my favorite ff composer. i always liked him but would never point to his work on ff games for why. so thought i liked hamauzu&friends more within ff i think a lot of his stuff is really full and reverb drenched in a way that makes the composition harder to hear (which is a fine style, mind you) but its often hard to hear just how cool the songs are unless you're listening intently, so just takes a while to grow on me ff13-2 is still my favorite ff ost (and ffx and the 13s are still pretty close) but basically anything sakimoto is giving that one a run for its money. might wind up supporting a bunch of random ff12/fft noms i didn't know very well before this topic now --- time ...
