It's not some childish good and evil morality decision like a bioware game, no. I am not saying a relationship should continue if it happens though.

Typically attraction wanes as people become complacent with their physical upkeep, and that can have a bad effect on your relationship besides cheating as well. Justified? No. always leave If that person refuses or fails to address the attraction issue. Just leave them. People tend to stick around out of fear at this point but it's better to leave.
