America won't fall to fascism. There isn't going to be a coup. There isn't going to be a theocracy or a white supremacist state. There are going to be people killed. But we're not going to see V for Vendetta or A Handmaiden's Tale become a reality anymore than we'll see professors telling students the only way to pass a class is to reject God.

There doesn't need to be a coup (in the traditional sense) or a "v for vendetta or handmaiden's tale" scenario for America to fall to fascism. We're absolutely on the path to--at the least--a situation like Hungary or Turkey, which are both illiberal fascist states.
