Normally I would agree, but covid has been active for about two years and has killed close to six million people, the flu annually kills about 250k-650k. Covid is killing people faster than any war has to my knowledge.
I understand the comparison is made as a means for people to easily understand the severity. But it doeasnt mean a whole lot when our country hasn't had a serious one since WW2, and our next serious one will likely blow all others out of the ocean.

Even then comparing the death rate of wars to a virus is like comparing apples to oranges.
