Similar for Rise of Skywalker to suddenly have an RT score in the 50s when its two predecessors got scores in the 90s. Although yeah at this point I'm probably just doing some mental gymnastics. yeah, TFA and TLJ are both a lot better than RoS, so i don't think the discrepancy in the scores is that notable. TLJ was a controversial movie but it was still competently made, which is more than i can say for RoS. aladdin was pretty fun but it came out before RoS, so i don't think it's relevant to your argument. its low RT score can't be because of post-RoS backlash.
