They won't. Because likes are useful for propaganda purposes, especially when they can be artificially inflated. Companies like likes.

Comments can already be disabled, and will likely continue to be disabled on deliberate marketing videos (in the same way Reddit prevents people from commenting on ad posts). Because the last thing companies want is tons and tons of people crapping on their product in the comments. Unless they're willing to moderate their own comments... in which case they'll just delete all the comments crapping on their product, and leave the positive ones (some of which they probably posted themselves via paid shill accounts) to make their video look far better received than it actually was.

Make no mistake, nearly every policy decision or feature YouTube makes is mostly to appeal to larger corporations and how they can use YouTube as an advertising platform. Google doesn't give a shit about the actual content, and even less of a shit about content creators.
