I never even understood it because, even if you disagreed with the BLM phrase, it is clear it is said because black people do not believe their lives matter to others. I don't get why alt-right chuds tried to make it a black supremacy movement when they could have just mocked another "liberal victim complex" or whatever. Because it comes off as arrogant as though their lives matter more and makes the group more exclusive when it needs to be inclusive. A simple solution would be to slap on Too at the end for "Black Lives Matter Too". Quick and easy marketing solution. But that's too much effort and apparently it's not BLM's problem that a significant population, the one they're aiming to garner sympathy from, is interpreting the tagline differently and more negatively from its original intentions. --- ...
