I applied for a promotion recently. Not being cocky but I'm the hardest working and most ambitious out of all that applied. I gurantee you either the guy with 15 years in or the guy with 16 years in is gonna get it. The guy with 15 in is a lazy sack of shit and the guy with 16 had that promotion before but for demoted cause he fucks up. Im 95% sure one of then two will get it over me and it's bullshit them just having more time in will be what does it but I understand thats just how things go here and I'm powerless to stop it. I dont like it but I accept it and move on with my life That said I do disagree with a few things. The self esteem. I will say no one owes it to you to help boost your self esteem but having it from the start is a good thing Parents can be the blame for you not being the best you could be. All I'll say is you cant use it as an excuse for the rest of your life.
