How exactly did Moiraine get to Siuan? I can't imagine it's Traveling but would have liked an explanation or at least a throwaway comment. Were they in Siuan's quarters or back someplace in Tear?
honestly, as far as random changes go, i 100% buy that moiraine or siuan found a ter'angreal lying around the tower's storerooms that lets you teleport between two nearby locations and decided to use it to make it easier to scheme

They really took some liberties with the Waygate. I thought it was actually in Tar Valon but that's not a big deal. What IS a big deal is that they changed how they work! It's supposed to be moving a leaf that opens it, not the damn One Power.
yeah this could cause issues down the line, and also makes no damn fucking sense because the gates were created for Ogier who can't channel! and obviously they're made for the ogier still because they need loial for a guide

you can see mashadar's mists. makes sense that you could see a manifestation of its evil. no reason to think rand saw the weaves; even book 1 rand could put two and two together
