In addition to the RNG of the statuses you want to be making use of the intrinsically RNG abilities like rapid synthesis and hasty touch that have higher expected value than the guaranteed skills (especially under the status that increases their success probability). Unfortunately it looks like Patient Touch (doubles/halves IQ stacks if successful/unsuccessful) was removed; that was a really useful skill for expert crafts --- Congrats to azuarc, GotD2 Guru champ! ...
