As for me, I just got done with The Disordered Cosmos: A Journey into Dark Matter, Spacetime, and Dreams Deferred by Chanda Prescod-Weinstein, a Black-Jewish agender particle physicist and social justice activist. Its a wonderful book, weaving physics, anthropology, sociology, and her own autobiography together as a lens to examine how we do science, why its not the best, and how we could do it better. Shes extremely smart, well-educated, witty, and possesses great clarity of thought and humility. I feel smarter and wiser for having read it.
Also she ends the book with a pages-long thank you to her mom, which is pretty adorable. But enough about me. Tell me about what youve been reading!
