also one thing i realized is that redditors are very downvote heavy when it comes to opinions on games/gamers. wtf man.

there was a topic on e-athletes inclusion in the Olympics and the TC used gymnasts as a comparison on the r/unpopularopinion sub yesterday and many people there almost make it seem like pro gaming is just as harmful as physical sports on the body (to support the idea that e-athletes deserve to be in the Olympics as well). The main argument was that pro gamers get tendonitis and it is much worse than a broken bone that can be received from harsher physical sports. I mean they aren't wrong about pro-gamers getting tendonitis but people in gymnastics suffer that shit too on top of fucking up other parts of their body just from wear and tear. It's why gymnastics is a young person's game. I guess gaming is too in a way but I doubt its harmful effects are nearly as bad IMO.
