And still not even 6% voted for people other than them. And third parties did better than normal that time. Normally the two big parties get 98-99% of the vote. The last time a third party candidate got more than a few percent of the vote was 1996 when Ross Perot got 8.6%, and in 1992 he got 18.9%. Even at their best, third party candidates can't get anywhere near even a single electoral vote, let alone the presidency.

Perot could have won it if he hadnt dropped out and then climbed back in.

Fuck we think America is insane now but could you imagine where it would be if that lunatic of God's own creation was president almost 30 years ago?
