Well right now we are doing long distance so we are already dealing with that and have had many discussions about trust and how if we don't trust each other we might as well not do it. I have no problem sticking to the one person I am with no matter the length of time, they are still my partner and they get my loyalty. I expect the same loyalty out of someone especially when they made sure I wasn't one to cheat on someone even with deployment.

Ya I've heard that. On my end I know I wouldn't cheat on someone no matter the deployment time, if I'm with someone I am loyal to them and they are the only person I see. As I said above he made sure I wouldn't be one to cheat so I told him I expect the same out of him. So I really hope he wouldn't but that's where all this trust stuff has to come in.

Not sure about Canadian army but what someone said about him likely to cheat, that's probably what'll happen. If not that, then you'll find out 2-3 months in about his horrible (symptom of untreated mental health issue and trauma) and be expected to coddle him and care for him in ways that he won't even care for himself.

Geez everyone is really stressing the cheating bit, which I did read about before. He better not cheat especially if he's making sure I won't be one to cheat. I know not everyone in one job does the same thing so I don't want to think 100% that's what he'll do because of his job because it's not fair to lump everyone together. So right now just making sure we trust each other or it's not going to work on both ends.
