I think that's part of what makes the end of that case such a gut punch. Not only does Terry die, but the real killer walks away right before you can trap her. It also makes taking her down for good in 3-5 that much more satisfying as Mia delivers the ultimate "I'm a winner and you're a loser" speech. Their rivalry was great. This does make me kind of sad we didn't get 1-5 in the anime since Damon Gant would've been great in anime form. They also probably could've made it way less bloated, but then again, it would've meant Mike Meekins in anime form. I don't think the world could have handled that, so perhaps we're better off. Missile Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3 Phoenix Wright 3-1 Phoenix's Shirt and What It Really Stands For Yuri Cosmos Quinby Altamont THE MURDER WEAPON WAS UDON DOUGH Phoenix Throwing Edgeworth a Phone Bonny and Betty de Famme Esmeralda Tusspells Winston Payne - The Rookie Killer until Mia crushed his confidence, and now he's so unremarkable that Phoenix Wright can never remember who he is until 4-1. He really doesn't do a whole lot outside of 3-1 besides shout his ear piercing objection and then peter out. He even lampshades this in 4-1 when it gets to the end and says, "Don't I get to prosecute anyone?!" Poor guy. The Payne/Auchi Family William Shamspeare - I talked about tracking Jean Armstrong's French earlier, but I also like to track when games have characters speak in Shakespearean English because most of them have no clue how the rules of grammar work for it (don't even get me started on Frog from Chrono Trigger). With Shamspeare, they mostly succeed, but he does have a few slipups. She's also not much of a character, as I think she's the only character in the original trilogy outside of Penny Nichols who never appears in court (or gets killed). Actually, I don't think Viola ever appears in court either, but she's at least an accomplice to the crime. Anyway, the point is that she is absolutely not a robot.
