Reading it over text that kind of punctuation causes a pause that can sound condescending. Especially if you know someone that talks like that offline.
If you had said "yes, Gokushufudo. Fun fact, shufu-do literally means way of house husband" I don't think there would have been any argument as you would have been agreeing and adding more. Kinda like in improv where you always "yes, and."

That said, I think you're both being silly over a miscommunication and you should both relax. It's a stressful time of year and you're both decent people. You're probably just unloading stress on each other.

i just got weirded on why the fuck is that some people thinks that "if your post got quoted, it means they're trying to pick a fight with you."
