Guns? So long as the ban isnt followed by an attempt to collect them all then eventually i could see it helping as they slowly trickle out of circulation. Trying to forcibly take them would likely cause a more notable death toll than the collective shootings though.

Smoking though id be kinda curious if a ban would be good. If not replaced with something thats less harmful or outright good if possible i could see people simply switching to something worse.
