If I'm not addressing it, then neither is the person I quoted in my first post. He was so sure that vaccine passes couldn't be used for authoritarian purposes. I asked him to imagine how they possiby could be abused.

The problem is you stopped thinking around the time of "evil mastermind behind it" and didn't bother to think to the conclusion of "what benefits would an evil mastermind get from preventing people from entering spaces without proof of vaccination?"

You should ask "what benefits would an evil mastermind get from preventing people from ______"
The answer to that should be obvious. The focus should be on the method and powers of control, not the reason.
Those powers, once obtained, can then be abused according to the evil mastermind's whims.

And of course, we're just pretending. Nobody is trying to say that this is what is what is really happening, or is going to happen.
