Um we usually have brown sauce, or gravy whatever its called with meatballs. With boiled potatoes or mashed potatoes and some lingonberry sauce and quick pickled cucmber. But I usually have it with macaronis and ketchup.

Our meatballs are usually smaller that for example italian and spiced much differently.

We also use them cold to make kttbullemacka, a meatball open faces sandwich with red beet salad thing

For Swedish meatballs, I think it is a white sauce or gravy.

..People really like Lingonberries up there huh?
They are nice. But I wouldn't use it in a sandwich.

Macaroni and Ketchup. Really? Ketchup?

I am not going to lie, and don't take this as an insult, but I do find Swedish food kinda vexing.
But it's because I was raised around a Mediterrane diet.

I do however appreciate your cooking skills, and your openness of teaching when you get a chance.
