Tesla is the one with the leverage here. Not using it would be a risk to the company and shareholders. There are hundreds of law firms that would jump to rep Tesla. The end result of them maximizing their leverage is a country where no one dares investigate the biggest companies for fear of how that could impact their career prospects.
