And yeah I know Mimikyu doesn't fit the general trend, but it was marketed heavily as a mascot for the generation based on its Pikachu-esque appearance. I think some of these (Emolga, Togedemaru) are very good designs that are held back significantly by being single stage. Mimikyu being single stage actually works for it and it has a great gameplay gimmick in addition to the lore.
