Wow, Secret Life of Pets as #2. When I was first submitting my list I thought I might have a shot at biggest outlier since I'm the new guy, but I definitely can't compete with that.

I count at least two other films with dogs playing a major part in them and one of them is somehow still below SLOP 2.

Hmm, movies on this list with major dog characters include:

• Secret Life of Pets 2, as already covered
• Jimmy Neutron, if robot dogs count
• The Grinch, with almost the exact same model as the SLOP dog and even the same name. Ermine's #1 pick, perhaps?
• Peanuts
• Isle of Dogs
• Farmageddon, where Blitzer accompanies Shaun and the alien on most of their adventure
• Wolfwalkers, if we stretch to include other canines
• And honorable mention to Boy & the World, where the kid hangs around with a farmer and his dog for like a quarter of the film or so

This all adds up to substantial dog representation among these 40 movies, which proves Secret Life of Pets must have done so well because it has the best dog.
