In which case, I think he's SOL. Allergy precautions in food service are significantly more stringent than the response to "I don't want this" is. Unless you actually tell them that it's necessary to avoid cross-contamination, they're just going to avoid putting the item into your food, not take any extra steps to prevent cross-contamination. --- This is my signature.
