I was playing with my brother and his church friend Chris and we ran into a squad of real nasty little kids on MW1 game back in 2008ish. Chris started telling them to chill, but they kept saying meaner and meaner shit.

This was when VC stayed global hot all through the match. It wasn't just our side mics. I don't know if that's normal or not now.

Anyway, we kept playing them and my brother stayed mostly silent for some reason. So I started calming Chris down and telling the kids a camp story about how all the mean kids eventually became a family with the nerdy loser kids. I use this story a lot as a lesson. Or at least I used to back then.

I'm almost positive 2 of them logged off in shame. 1 of them sent me a friend request and apologized. Little guy became my friend and I'd give him advice through the years. He grew up to be a paramedic. He's married with 1 little girl now.

Sometimes people seem bad, but have a heart of gold. Who you choose to hang around can to a large extent effect the course of your life.
