There was supposed to be an additional part of Chapter 6 where the Shadow Sirens fight Mario on the train and then summon the Smorg but it was cut. Maybe the Shadow Sirens or the X-Nauts created The Smorg to slow down or stop Mario from reaching the Crystal Star. --- His foundation lie in the holy mountain.
