What these people fail to realize is that the average american pays more in taxes than their wealth grows over a 10 year period. Whereas these billionaires pay almost nothing compared to their wealth growth as this picture shows. As you can see, if the Average American grew their wealth by $89k in this period, they paid $142k in taxes. They paid more in taxes than their wealth had grown.
