That's a distinction without a difference. I mean, the Jim Crow era wasn't exactly a time when the first-class citizens were using subtlety to force their rule over the others...

And, trust me, I'm not saying the nazis don't deserve to be slugged. But you legitimize and reinforce all of their shitty perspectives and values by meeting their ideas with violence.
