I think the point is that framing ivermection as "horse paste" ignores that it is IS used in humans for certain illnesses. It wasn't effective for humans with COVID, but a bunch of quacks promoted it, and the counteresponse since some were using the horse dewormer variant with horse-level doses was to call ivermectin horse paste. That's how you get CNN meshing the two bits together.

The anti-ivermectin stuff was mostly fine but it's hard to deny it got diluted by its own swamp of misinformation when a major news network is mixing up two things (or the fact a number of fake stories about ERs dealing with ivermectin overdoses were pushed.)

I don't know why this needs two pages of arguments
