No, you don't. Walk into a bank in NY on Thursday that has dropped mask requirements, with a mask on, and find out. Many convictions have been obtained simply because the individual was wearing a mask with no other perceived intent. In fact, in Canada, Federal Law prohibits face coverings (Thanks Stephen Harper!) The pandemic is the only reason that masks are allowed to be worn in public.

Because they wore single layer cloth or surgical masks despite guidance indicating triple layer minimum for cloth or surgical masks

Because they wore the same KN95 mask for three days straight with a virus that is as transmissible as German Measles

Because they live in an apartment building or work someplace with substandard ventilation and contracted when someone else who lives/works in the building contracted it

Because they consumed nothing but conservative media and decided to "fuck around and find out" for themselves
