My elderly grandma is taken care of by stay at home nurses that come to her house, sleep over, work in shifts and the job is pretty chill. For every hour they spend cleaning her up and feeding her they spend like 5 hours sitting down, chilling, watching t.v and looking at their phones. Lol. So I've worked in a nursing home and done at home support like your grandma gets. In a nursing home you can have up to 7 residents equivalent to your grandma's state to look after per staff member per shift. And you'll often get one who has extra poor mobility or extra bad dementia that eats into the time you can spend with the others. Community support work is 100x easier as you only have the one person to worry about at a time. Lots of down time yes especially if they're low maintenance --- Started from the bottom now we here ...
